How can you start building a Med Comms Career in an AI-driven World?
Med Comms day, celebrated annually on the 24th of June, shines a light on the professionals working across the medical communications industry. Med Comms plays a vital role in helping healthcare and pharmaceutical organisations communicate complex scientific information clearly and effectively.
To mark this year's occasion, Monster Academy and Word Monster joined forces with MedComms.jobs to hold the "Science That Speaks" virtual careers event, designed for recent graduates and career changers interested in a career in medical communications. More than 60 attendees joined us virtually in a Gather Town environment, bringing the atmosphere of an in-person conference.
We also held the webinar "An Introduction to Medical Writing: Building a Med Comms Career in an AI-driven world". During the session, Dr Caroline Bradley and Beatriz Lima explored what it means to be a medical writer, sharing insights into the day-to-day highlights of the role, and discussed how AI is reshaping the Med Comms landscape, particularly for those entering the profession. They also shared practical advice on how aspiring medical writers can use AI responsibly and effectively throughout the job application process.
If you weren't able to join us live, you can still catch up. Watch the full webinar below to learn more about starting a career in medical writing and thriving in an increasingly AI-enabled world.
